CRICKET
CHAMPIONSHIP FIXTURES POSTPONED. Yesterday was the day appointed by the Cricket Association for the commencement of the Thursday championship fixtures. Owing to the rain all matches wei-e postponed. Some of the wickets were in a rather rough condition for cricket, and the rain and the rest should prove very beneficial to them.
The Recreation Ground field was well rolled yesterday—a much-needed attention.
