HOSPITAL MATTERS. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Christcliurch, Last Night. The North Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board decided to-day to pay the Ashburton Hospital Boara £1350 in full satisfaction of the claims on the last mentioned Board oil the value of the united Board which previously administered eharitablo aid in North Canterbury and Ashburton. HOSPITAL CONFERENCE.' Christcliurch, Last Night. At a meeting of the North Canterbury Hospital and Charitable Aid Board it was stated that a large number of similar boards in the Dominion had written approving the proposed conference of boards. Dr. Valintine, who was present, suggested that the conference be held next June, and, in reply to a question, stated that the Government would probably convene it. It was agreed to hold the conference as suggested, and to ask the Government to convene it. DANNEVIRKE'S PROGRESS. Dannevirke, Last Night. The ratepayers to-day carried a loan of £BOOO for the eretcion of a municipal town hall, by a majority of 107.
