The Rev. F. G. Evans and the Rev. John Wilkinson returned "by the Rarawa this morning from Auckland. Mr. Albert E. Eastwood, representing the Beebe Balloon Company, was in town yesterday making arrangements for an aeronautic display on the 24th prox. Among the successful candidates at the annual class examinations at Victoria College are Ronald H. Quilliam, J. Bullard, K. Munro (Stratford) and P. 0. Grey. W. Glasgow kept first year's term*. Mr. Petrie, late chief inspector under tl(e Auckland Education Board, has volunteered his services for the collecting of the more valuable native grass seeds, and will shortly go through Central Otago. He will receive no salary, the offer being a voluntary one on Mr. Petrie's part to the Agricultural Department. Mr. James A. Matheson, representing Messrs. John Fuller and Sons' picturedrama tour, undertaken in conjunction with .the Taylor-Carrington Company, is in New Plymouth making arrangements) for the pictorial production of '' The Term of His Natural Life." next Wednesday.
