PRONOUNCEMENT BY THE PREMIER. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. Received 23, 5.5 p.m. Athens, October 22. M. Venizelos, the Premier, speaking in the Assembly, said the principal duty of the Government was to bring to a satisfactory conclusion the revision of the non-fundamental articles of the Constitution. The Government will develop its programme for the next elections, and the constituencies will decide whether they will invest the Chamber with a mandate for its fulfilment. Meanwhile they will restore military discipline, and employ force against reactionary movement of any political group whatever. THE PREMIER UNSUPPORTED. THREATENS TO RESIGN. Received 24, 1.5 a.m. Athens, October 23. Owing to the absence of a quorum through M. Rallis' and M. Mavromichaels' supporters quitting when M. Venizelos demanded a vote of confidence, M. Venizelos threatens to resign.
