Obituary: Prince Francis of Teck, from septicaemia, following upon an operation for the removal of the pleaustic effusion. King George and many others were at the death-bed. The late Prince Francis was an unobstrusive man and popular in the Army.

THE FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS. Received 24, 12.30 a.m. London, October 23. Prince Francis of Teck's funeral will take place at Windsor on Wednesday. Prince Francis of Teck was the second son of the :late Duke of Teck and H.R.H. the late Princess Mary Adelaide, and brother of the present Queen of England, whom he accompanied when she and King George made their trip to the colonies. He served in India, Egypt and South Africa, and for distinguished conduct in the field received several medals and clasps . He was forty years of age and unmarried. THE KING OF SIAM. Received '24. 1.22 a.m. Bangkok. October 23. Obituary.—King Chulalongkorn. King Chulalongkorn I. was born in 1853, and succeeded to the throne in 1868. The heir to the throne is Prince Chowfa Maha Vajiravudh, born on January 1. 1880. The royal dignity is nominally hereditary.
