ATTEMPTED MURDER
LOITTIT COMMITTED VOll TRIAL., By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gore, Last Night. James Louttit was charged to-day before Mr. H. A. Young, S.M., with the attempted murder of Edward UorrelL at Waipounama on the night of October 7. The evidence of Hprre'll, who still appeared to be suffering from the bullet wounds inflicted, was to the effect that he had been (hit in four different places, the most severe being in the left groin. Dr. Watts' evidence was to the effect that the bullet in the groin had not yet been extracted but no dangerous symptoms had developed. The other throe shots, although striking Ilorrell, only caused skin abrasions. Accused, who reserved his defence, was committed for triad at the next sittings of the Supreme Court at lnvercargill. \
