A WESTRALIAN MYSTERY. IS IT A SECOND CRIPPEN CASE? By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Perth, October 19. There is considerable mystery over the disappearance of a woman named Ethel Harris. Five months ago she lived with a man named Alfred Smart, who is now in gaol waiting his trial on a charge of bigamy. The girl disappeared just prior to Smart's marriage to another woman. The police, digging in the yard of the house where she lived, found articles of Harris' clothing, an iron bar with hair attached, and other articles. Smart says that Harris left him a week before his marriage. The case is awakening tremendous interest.
