IMPERIAL LABOR CONFERENCE
A BIG MOVEMENT. By Cable.—Press Association. - -Copyright. Received 10, 9.55 p.m. London, October 10. The Daily Chronicle states that the British Labor leaders are communicating with colonial leaders with a view to holding a conference in 1911. to discuss the question of the possibility of joint action in matters affecting the interests of workers of the Empire. If a permanent conference is established, says the "Chronicle, much of the apparent divergence of opinion between the Laborites here and the colonies would disappear. The questions wherein differences are noticeable include tariffs and the treatment of the colored peoples of the Empire. Mr. Ramsay Mac Donald, M.P. originated the idea and is urging upon his colleagues the necessity for an Imperial Labor policy.
