Donohoe, the Daily Chronicle's correspondent, interviewed the Premier, Senor Canalejas, who has been nicknamed "The Lloyd-George of Spain." Senor Canalejas said: "The events in Lisbon will not be repeated in Madrid. The Portuguese Government were unable to rely upon the army or navy. Spain is introducing legislation to prevent the labor organisations beiim- used as tools by fanatics and becoming the instruments of such insane violence as has lately been witnessed an other countries."
