WAITARA WEST ROAD BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING. (From Cur Own Correspondent.) At the monthly meeting of the Waitava West Road iloaril there were present: Messrs. J. Connett (chairman), French. Hal!. Surrey and Turnbull. Correspondence was read from Mr. F. Merrill, requesting that Lepperton School Committee and Mr. Y. Hutchen, requesting pay-1 ment of an accoirat owing to W.. Free. The chairman reported that Mr. French l and himself had attended the meeting! of the Waitara Borough Council re their contributing to upkeep of Tate road, and that a committee had been appointed to go into the matter. It was resolved that the'chairman and Mr. Freneli be appointed to interviewj Mr. Free and endeavour to arrange with] him re account said to be owing. Mr. Hall reported that settlers on the I Everett road were complaining of the dangerous state of the tram line, ana 1 the clerk was directed to write to Mr.' Surrey and ask him to remove same. The remainder of the month he had been engaged cleaning water-tables on several roads.
