Miss Lizette Parkes will appear, as Simplicity Johnson, and Mr. Ham ! Plimmer as'the Rev. Thomas Singleton.! The production of the new play willj mark the return of Mrs. Herbert Brougnj to the footlights. Mrs. Brough, who has been on a trip to England, arrived in Sydney some few weeks back, and was: immediately engaged by the new linm to play the part of Mrs. Woodbridgc in I the production, and it is needless to sayj she filled the character most admirably.!« The company comprises several Aus-j tralian artistes, notably Miss Lizette Parkes, who gained a host of admirers. in the Dominion some short time ago' in "Peter Pan." For Mr. Harry Plim-' mer no introduction is necessary. Mr. Tveynolds Denniston plays the only un-. cogenial character in the piece, viz., that of a divorced husband, and amongst the numerous caste, other well-known favor-, ites in the production are Miss Alice Deorwyn. Miss Beatrice Usher. Miss Valentine Sidnev, and a newcomer from/ India. Miss Marie le Croisseette. She' is a character actress, who lias spent most of lief time in England and in the East, and is well known for her clever impersonations. The production will be well mounted and staged, and some beau- ( tiful scenery has been painted by Mr. Harry Whaite. especially for the third and fourth nets, in which a wealth of autumn foliage is changed into spring,' with fruit blossoms in profusion. !
