The Presbyterian General Assembly discussed the reference of the committee for a report on an overture dealing with tiie question of marriage with deceased wife's sister. The overture proposes that the Church should declare those making such marriages may retain full privileges and their standing as Church members, and that while any minister is entitled to refuse to solemnise such marriages those having no conscientious scruples shall be at liberty to do so.
