POLICE OBTAIN A CLUE. PROPRIETOR ARRESTED. By Cable—Press Association— Copyright. New York, October 5. The Los Angeles police announce the discovery of a clue to the dynamitards. General Otis, editor-proprietor of the Times, and Mr. Chanlcr have been arrested on a eharge of criminally libelling a labor Uader. The alleged libel was published a week ago. General Otis was under arrest when he attended the funeral of the stenographer to whom the libellous article was dictated. The stenographer died in the explosion. A launch which is believed to have carried the dynamite into Lo*s Angeles has been found in the Oakland estuary. EXPERT QUARTZ MIXERS SUSPECTED. SIXTEEN BODIES RECOVERED. Received 6, 10.35 p.m. New York, October 6. It ia believed the Los Angeles dynamitards are expert quartz miners from Korthern California. Detectives are searching the district. Sixteen bodies have been recovered from the ruins of the building and aeven remain.
