Bullion and bank-notes to the value of £SOOO were stolen from the mail room of the steamer City of Seattle, en route from Skagway to Vancouver. A messman and a sailor were arrested, and the-bank-notes were found in a pair of stockings belonging to the messman. The messman confessed to the robbery and the other was released.
