Wellington Anglican workers in connection with the present Church, of Eng' land mission have resolved to petition the Bishop asking that St. Paul's proCathedral be used t;ice a month as the cathedral or mother church of the diocese; that a monthly evening service be held in it during the first week in every month, for the clergy, workers and communicants of all town and suburban par ishes, including- Petone; that such service should take the form of an address on the deepening of the spiritual life, followed by the Litany, in which tht speoial needs of each parish shall be remembered; that after the service all present should assemble in the Sydnej Street Schoolrom and spend the' rest of the evening together, so that plans for the work may be discussed and the bonds of friendship between workers of each parish:' strengthened; that it be made quite clear that this service it for workers only, communicants and choir, and that only those who earnestly desire to win the town for God are expected to attend.
