STRATFORD DAY BY DAY
(Prom Our Own Correspondent.) Stratford, Last Night. Mr. P. N. Thompson, who has been' managing clerk for Messrs. Spence and Stanford for the past six months, left Stratford last night for the Waikato, where he will commence practice on his own account. Prior to his departure his friends presented him with a travelling bag. The addition to the Stratford School has been completed. Mr. D. L. A. Astbury has purchased Mr. H. L. Black's house in Juliet street. Another sale reported is that of a halfacre section at the corner of Miranda street and Pembroke- road, by Messrs. Weston and Weston to Mr. A. Spence. Mr. S. 0. Johnston, inspector of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, is at present on a visit to Stratford. The Stratford Lawn Tennis Club hold their annual meeting on the 12th insfc.
