Sugar—German 10s sd, first mark* 14s. Butter—Market quiet and unchanged. Choicest new Australian -.sells readily secondaries are neglected. ' Wheat—Market dull; poor demand. Sellers were inclined' to meet buyers; 38s 6d is asked for South Australia* September-October shipment and New South Wales afloat, while 37s 9d is asked for January-February shipment; 36s 6a has been paid for South Australian parcels afloat. There is little enquiry for Australian spot at 395. For Chicago December shipments 98% cents is asked Flour Dull. Australian spot 275. Little is doing for shipment, owing to the high freights. Oats—Dull. La Plata. SeptemberOctober shipment 13s 4y 2 d. Wool—The wool sales were spirited. Faulty merinos were somewhat weak, but crossbreds fully maintained their value. Silver—24y B d. Kauri Gum. Two hundred and" ninety-six cases were offered and 40 sold. Prices unchanged.
