AUCKLAND'S COACH. By Telegraph..—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. i Ward, of Lancashire, has been engaged as coach by the Auckland Cricket Association. THE' ATHLETIC OLUB. A meeting was held in the Club-rooms, Devon street, last evening. Mr. D. Bevan was in the chair. It is intended to enter one senior and one junior team for the championship, and to apply to the Sports Ground Copxmitee for the use of the ground. A working bee was formed to make a start on the ground at Tukapa to prepare a pitch. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman and the press.
