,THE SCOTT AND FILCHNER EXPEDITIONS. By Came. —Press Association. —Copyright Received 'September 24, 12.30 am. London, September 23. The Filchner German Antarctic expedition states' that Captain Scott has arranged! \rath the Germans to start for the Weddell Sea in the spring of 1911. If they meet in the centre of the Antarctic, some of Filchner's party will accompany Scott to the Weddell Sea, and some of Scott's party will accompany Filchner's to the Ross Sea.
CHAFF FOR PONIES. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright Received September 23, 10.30 p.m. Melbourne, September 23. The Department of Agriculture shipped 32 tons of compressed wheaten chaff by the Moeraki to be used on Captain Scott's Antarctic expedition.
