The honors, paid to the Dutch fleet included >the receptions of officers at Parliament House and the Chamber of Commerce. Commodore Vanvoss, replying to the welcome, hoped that British warships would never be engaged to protect British trade. He hoped the trade between the English and the Dutch would ever grow greater and help to maintain friendly feeling between the two countries.
