DEPUTATION TO THE MINISTER. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. A deputation from Waitara waited on the Minister for Public Works and asked for a vote for Waitara bridge of £3OO on account of the subsidy of £3OOO. The Minister promised that the vote should be reinstated. Regarding the Molcau bridge on the main Auckland-Taranaki road, the deputation said that it would cost about £12,000. Mr. Seddon had characterised it as one of the most important works thai required to be taken in hand. The Minister said there was £ 100 on account on the Estimates last year, and the Government would probably subsidise any amount raised locally for the purpose £ for £.
