A deputation from Wairoa waited on the Chamber of Commerce this morning regarding the proposal to harness Lake Waikaremoana for electric light and power .purposes. After discussion it was decided that the chambers ot commerce at Gisborne, Napier, Wairoa (Hawkes Bay), Hastings, Waipawa, Dannevixke, Woodville, Pahiatua, Feildmg, Palmerstrm \orth. and intervening towns and Wellington be asked to attend a conference at Palmerston North witt the idea of advancing the proposed scheme. The conference will meet at Palmerston shortly.
