The Moderator of the Wellington Presbytery reported to-day on the conference held recently between the Trades and Labour Council and members of the Presbytery. He said there had been full and free discussion on matters in which the Church and Labour were mutually . interested Though nothing definite was decided, an understanding was arrived at tending to improve the relations of the parties. There was complete accord on Isunday observance, and a willingness to co-op-erate in attaining more efficient licensing legislation and restriction of gambling.
