London, September 12. Great reluctance is being shown by aged paupers in the London workhouses to accept pensions on January 1. They prefer the workhouse. LATE MR. HOLMAN HUNT. London, September 12. Lord Tennyson, Messrs. Cha/rles Booth, William Rossetti, Arthur Hughes and others carried Mr. Holman Hunt's ashes in a marble urn on a bier covered with bay leaves. The ashes were deposited in the painters' corner at St. Paul's Cathedral. THE EXHIBITION FIRE. London, September 12.
