WANGANUI LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Association. . Wanganui, Last Night. At the ladies' golf tournament to-day, the following qualified for the championship:—Miss Brewster (New Plymouth) 97, Miss Stephenson (New. Plymouth) 99, Miss H. Cowper 103, Mrs. Cave 106, Miss Parsons 111, Mrs. Imlay Saunders 111, Mrs. Izard 117, Mrs. Sarjeant 118. The first round of the championship resulted as follows:—Mrs. Saunders beat Mrs. Izard, 4 up and 3; Miss Parsons beat Miss Cave, 2 up; Miss Stephenson beat Miss Cowper, 8 up and 6; Miss Brewster beat Mrs. Sarjeant, 5 up and 4 - The fourteen-hole bogey was won by Miss Hamilton.
