LADIES' TOURNAMENT. By Telegraph. —Press Association. Nelson, Saturday Night. There was fine weather for the fourth clay of the Ladies' Hockey Tournament, the main feature of the day's proceedings being the unexpected defeat of Hawke's Bay, the champion team, by Wairarapa. Wanganui defeated Taranaki by. 3 goals to 2. Scorers for the winners were Misses Sutherland, Moore and Perritt, while Miss Winks scored both goals for Taranaki Wellington A beat Westport by 2 goals to 1, the scorers being Misses Kel-li-ng and Mcintosh and Laubere respectively. Otago beat Greymouth by 3 goals to nil, the goals being scored by Misses Spedding, Foster, and Brown. Nelson gained a victory over Auckland by 1 goal to nil, after an exciting game. Miss Hair scored. The Wairarapa v. Hawke's Bay match, would have ended in a draw but for an apparently certain score for Hawke's Bay being spoiled by the hat of a too prominent spectator. Wairarapa won by 2 goals (scored by Miss Z.Humphries and Easton to 1 (Miss Crowley).
