A correspondent suggested that, owing to the possibility of a general election and the probability of a small majority on either side, the leading members of the Opposition should be invited to the Imperial Conference. Earl Crewe (Secretary of State for the Colonies), in declining, remarked that the Conference had hitherto (Ministers of the Motherland ana the dominions. (He did not think a departure from that practice would prove conveniI ent.
