The Kaponga Club was directed to award the first prize to the man who ran second to Taylor in the half-mile. The committee upheld the action of the New Plymouth Caledonian Society in having the mile and a-half cycle race at its last meeting re-run on account of the race when first run having been over a distance a lap short of the proper distance. Adlam's protest in connection with the matter was dismissed. The committee was hampered somewhat in its work owing to the loss of documents when the secretary's office was burned some little time ago.
