By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent. Thee Catholic social on Thursday last was perhaps the most successful, from a social point of view, yet held. The hall was not too crowded, and dancing was most enjoyable. The music and supper arrangements were excellent throughout. Oil Friday a social was held, and proved as great a success as these functions always do. The whole affair was under the supervision of a strong committee of workers, who spared no effort.
"Aladdin" has been creating a stir locally, and quite a crowd of Inglewood playgoers journeyed to New Plymouth to see the performance. It is to be ; hoped that the time is not far distant when Inglewood's "Town Hall" will be/ such as will induce travelling companies' to visit our district. ■At Kaimata on Friday last Miss E. Andrews, who teaches there, but who is also a prominent member of the In-1 glewood Ladies' Hockey team, was ten- j dered a farewell' social on the occasion! of her transfer to Tikorangi School, i Mr. Copper, on behalf of the settlers, presented iMiss 'Andrews with a handsome clock as a'token of the goodwill that had always existed .between the householders arid herself during her so- J journ in the district.
