STRATFORD DAY BY DAY.
(From OUr Own Correspondent.) Stratford; Last Night. A riiiihlei' 6f Stratford residents visited New Plymouth last night to see Aladdin. The Cardiff Dairy factory re-opened to receive milk this morning. Mr. W. Sullivan, the 1 borougli overseer, left by this morning's train for a fortnight's holiday. Mr. H. J. Hopkins has disposed of his property in Celia Street to an Eltham resident. Mr. S. H. James has been appointed the Borough Council's valuator in regard to Messrs. Derby Bros.' lease of municipal reserves. The Publie Works Department have determined to build on the vacant section in Juliet Street, adjoining the Stratford Club, and for this purpose a grant will be placed on the estimates. A mounted parade of the Stratlord Mounted Rifles will be held on Thursday. Mr. F. Kleeman, manager of the Midhirst Dairy factory, has been using an invention of his own for pasteurising skim milk. So far the machine has worked splendidly, and after a lur&her trial it is probable that it will be installed at the various creameries.
