It is stated thai many dark horses of hitherto unknown quality are expected to come to iight and the selectors of the Taranaki team might be able to secure .some usuul talent. The representative team to meet Wellington is considered locally to be an improvement 021 the teams which ihave met Manawatu and WangaJiui. The disposition of the backs is favourably comI mented on, and provided the hookers can get their share of the ball in the [ scram, the speedy backs should be able Ito give their opponents plenty of defensive work to do. A bbnus payment of £953 will be paid, out to the suppliers of the Cardiff factory to-morrow. This brings the total paid out by the company to per lb. The condition of Mr. N. G.
