AMUSEMENTS

. "BROWNE WITH i.N E." In. order to give those who could, not get up at four o'clock in the morning to book for tlie pantomime, some of our local amateurs have come to the rescue and consented to give a performance on Thursday next in aid of that most deserving of objects, the Recreation Sports Ground. Don't let the fact of having seen "Browne with an E" before deter you from seeing it again, for a considerable alteration in the caste has been effected, whereby that popular local comedian, Mr. F. J. Easther, will make his first appearance in New Plymouth in the role of Mrs. Gushington Nervesby. If you don't want to laugh and go away laughing, stay at home. An exceptionally good musical , rogramme will also be provided, and a very cheap evening's entertainment will conclude with an exhibition of specially selected films by the Biograph ixcture Company. BIOGRAPH PICTURE CO. The excellence of the programme continue to draw enthusiastic audiences to the Theatre Royal. This afternoon a matinee will be given, when children will be admitted for the wee sum of threepence. For to-night's exhibition the management announce another entire change of films, when patrons may rely on having a good evening's entertainment.
