Lyndhurst was convicted on a charge of stealing a trap, a set of, harness and a buggy rug valued at £l9 ss, the property of D. Sutherland, and a horse valued at £l2, the property of William Ivirkland. Sentence was deffirrcdj John Michael Seigrue was convicted on a charge of assaulting a Chinese at Lauder and was admitted to probation, being ordered to pay £lO towards the cost of the prosecution.
