_ A MINER'S SUICIDE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ' Reefton, Tuesday. A miner named Henry Sainsbury, who a fortnight ago complained of not being well and was missed, was found dead behind a hut at Waiutu with his throat out. It is supposed that he came from Otago. DEATH UNDER AN ANAESTHETIC. Dunedin, Tuesday. Mrs. Paul, a married woman about 30 years of age, while having teeth extracted by Mr. Brewer, a demist, collapsed under an ether anaesthetic. All efforts to restore life were unavailing. 1 SERIOUS ACCIDENT AT STRATFORD.

He was 'lighting the tail j v lamp on the guard's van of the 'ioko train when unexpectedly the train backed, crushing Woods against the concrete -stop -at the dock. -Woods was severely injured about the region ot . j stomach and groin and was removed;to' the Stratford Hospital. , U
