WOMAN WITH A REVOLVER

AN INCIDENT IN COURT. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Before the criminal sittings of the Supreme Court began to-day, a woman named Valentine Moiser, who is to undergo trial on a charge of cruelty to a child, was relieved of a revolver. She was observed by Detectives Kemp and Hammond in front of the Supreme Court acting in an unusual manner. Hearing that she had a revolver concealed in her muff, they persuaded her to come inside the witness' room, where they took from her an unloaded revolver and a small bottle of whisky. The woman had no ammunition in her possession. She was afterwards taken in custody for drunkenness.
