AMUSEMENTS.

BIGGRAPH PICTURES AND> ORCHESTRA. This popular company show at Wait'ara tonight in another of their excellent diversified programmes, consisting, of a brilliantly arranged series of dramatic, scenic, industrial and screamingly funny comics. This company have appeared in Waitara on three previous OC--casions, and shown 'to rather poor houses, tout-the popularity gained von these visits should guarantee a packed house to-night. The programme to be submitted is as follows:—'-The Call," "The Way of the Cross," "The Egyptian Maid" (star dramas). "The 1910 Grand National," a highly interesting film of this great sporting event, showing the crowd wemling their way to and from the course, also the great" race itse!i. "A Good Action Rewarded," "A Pretty Maid," "The Outcast's Sacrifice" and "A Friend in Need" (dramas). The scenic and industrial portion is filled with "Views of Lourdes" and "Logging in Norway." "Modern Training" is a very pretty educational subject in bird life. The comic loving public will be pleased with "Mistaken Identities," "Mr, Jones, Burglar," "Am I Mad?" The company's popular prices will be charged, 2s and Is, children half-price. A programme of high standard films was shown at the Theatre 'Royal last evening and much appreciated. TAYLOR-CARRINGTON COMPANY. Local playgoers need hardly be reminded that the always welcome TaylorCarrington Dramatic Company appear to-night at the Theatre Royal in their latest dramatic success, "Mizpah." The Star, ir„ speaking of its excellent production, says:—''lt must be admitted that the Taylor-Oarrington management work wanders in the matter of. stage* craft and realistic representation. Not a detail is lost, and, as ths scenery hasbeen specially painted, while all the' accessories are, as usual, present, it will be seen that the company has lost none of its prestige. Neither have the leader* gone back on their determination topresent their many patrons with only their best. These are factors that have added to the reputation of the company, and the success of their productions. It has perhaps taken years to implant and cultivate that feeling of undoubted confidence on the part of the public, but that it exists is proved by the crowded houses that always greet the company's appearance. The TaylorCarrington Company is, to the smaller towns, what the Bland Holt, J. C. Williamson, and Anderson combinations areto the cities."
