ANNUAL MEETING. The thirty-second annual meeting of the New Plymouth Gas Company wa» ' held yesterday afternoon. Mr. A. Shuttleworth (chairman of directors) presided. The hilance-slieet for the year ended .mut 30, 1910, showed that after providing for expenses of management, cost of coal, bad debts, interest on debenture capital, the profits for the vcar (including the ibalanee 'brought forward from the previous year) amount to £2330 10s 3d. Thia, Wdirectors have allotted as follows: fTo payment of the usual dividend at i\\fi rate of 10s per share on the first issde (fully paid up), and a dividend of 8s per share on the second issuo ( £4 paid up), including the interim dividend to December 31, 1009, paid in February last, £IBOO. And a dividend of* 3d per share on contributing shares (5s paid up) for the half-year ended June 30, 1010; £24 lis. .Total, £1824 lis. Leaving to be carried forward, a balance of £soff 19s 3d. Messrs. G. A. Corney and A. M. Thompson, retiring directors, were reelected', as were also the auditors (Messrs.. J. S. McKellar and J. G< Davies).. Mr. A. Shuttle worth was re-elected' chairman, of directors.
