A PARTNERSHIP AFFAIR. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Friday. . Mr. Burgess, S.M., gave judgment at Paeroa in the case in' which Albert Burcher and Mrs. Burclher sued Alex. Mackay and J. Culpan for' a dissolution of partnership in connection with the! Joseph Chamberlain claim at Owharoa. Mrs. Burcher also asked for the return of £62 10s, for which she purchased a share in the claim, alleging that Mackay induced her to do so by misrepresentation. Mr. Burgess said he had not jurisdiction to hear the matter. The claim was t/hat illegal representations were made in Auckland. He made an order for dissolution of partnership and taking of accounts between the parties. He said the conduct of Mackay in circulating a report about the claim which he knew to be grossly untrue, was reprehensible. Mackay was ordered to pay £7 Is, the costs of the action.

SLY GROG SELLING. Auckland, Last Night. At the Magistrate's Court at Otarohanga to-day, before Mr. Loughnan, S.M., Rnrena Thompson and Joseph Baxter were each fined £25 for keeping liquor for illegal sale. Frederick Murdock was fined £lO for selling liquor without a license.
