Mr. Foster Fraser, in a letter in reply to Mr. Coghlan, maintains that owing to the climate of Australia the third generation of British settlers begins to showdeterioration, and a constant mixture of the blood of the old stock with Australian is needed to maintain virility. Circumstances will always bring Australia good material for producing a fine race.
