IN NEW SOUTH WALKS. Sydney, July 29. At the annual meeting of the Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Winchcombe, ciiairman, referred to the question of prelerence. He stated that New South Wales imported more than twice the quantity from Britain that it did from all other countries combined, in spite of the fact that foreign countries took more of ner exported goods than Britain. In conclusion Mr. Winchcombe stated that Australia was generally riding on a wave of prosperity, arid there was work for every willing worker.
