PREMIER INTERVIEWED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Yesterday. ■Representative members of the building societies were seen by a Star reporter as to Sir J. G. Ward's proposals outlined in the Budget for extending the scheme of advances to workers. Replies were all emphatically in agreement on one point, viz., that building societies fully and fairly supply the demand, and that there is no need for the Government stepping in and becoming general landlords for workers.
