THE BUSH SICKNESS
A REMEDJT FOUND. By Telegraph. —Press Association. I Auckland, Last Night, Experiments in the treatment, of stock attacked by the bush sickness, which has been prevalent for ma.my years in the country ranging from Tauranga. to Taupo, have been lately completed by Mr. C. H. Clinloiird, who has a large holding at Mamaku. Acting on a suggestion by the Chief Government Veterinary (Mr. Reakes) that the soil was deficient in phosphates, Mr. Clinkard has been feeding some dairy cows (which had been affected with the disease) with bran. A number of trial a have siliown that the bran is an effective remedy* and Mr. Clinkard has made a7i offer to the Department of Agriculture to keep Ms cows on t)he a,ffected pastures during the coming season, and to feed them with bran, in order to further test the efficiency of the newj found remedy.
