SHEEP SHEARING DISPUTE.
A STATEMENT .CONTRADICTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Niglit. On Friday last Mr. Laracy, secretary of the Shearers' Association at Olvristchurch, telegraphed to tlie -Minister of Labor and .ur. T. E. Taylor, M.P., suggesting that, as the result of an interview -with Mr. Triggs, Conciliation Commissioner, three Conciliation Commissioners should submit to the Arbitration Court a joint report on shearing rates now paid in the Dominion. This would a<vert impending complications. Mir. W. Pryor, .secretary of the New Zealand Employers' Federation, received t!h« following telegram from Mr. Txiggs in reference to the above: "Mr. Laracy's proposal to Minister not my suggestion. I know nothing of it. The first intimation I had was in morning papers. I •must have an undertaking, signed by both parties, as suggested by you." Mr. Pryor left by the Maori for Christchurch this evening to attend tilie sitting of the Arbitration Court there today' to deal with the shearers' dispute in Canterbury. It is probable that the decision in this case will apply to the wlhole of the Dominion. j
