Notices of termination of Japan's commercial treaties in 1011 have been sent to all European countries concerned, including Britain. JAPAN AND GERMANY. Tokio. July 17. Japan has denounced the GermanJapanese treaty of commerce and navigation, also the consular treaty of 1896, and the convention with tariff supplementary to the former treaty. Received July 19, 1.5 a.m. London, July 18. The Times' Berlin correspondent states that Germany is negotiating for a new treaty with Japan, and expects to make considerable concessions to Japan. German imports thence are rising and exports thither falling, but the exports still greatly exceed the imports. The Frankfurter Zeitung, discussing the prospects of the other countries, remarks that Britain is bound to fare the worst.
