AN ENGLISH COMMISSION'S IMPORT. By Cable.—Press Association.—-Copyright Received July 19, 12.50 a.m. London, July 18. The report of the Labor Party »nd Trade Unionist Commission of Investigation regarding the conditions of Germany, emphasises what it describes as the country's "well-known and acknowledged progress," and comments on the country's industrial and social discipline, the organisation being probably largely the cause of progress. The cost of living is rising, this being attributed to the general tariffs. The views of informants differed regarding the need or justification of tariffs, but the workers were practically unanimous in opposition thereto.
