WAIONGOtfA. I (From Our Own Correspondent.■' ! A meeting was held in the schoolroom on Tuesday evening last, for the pur- '■ pose of reforming the Waiongona i)e----1 bating and Improvement Society. Owing to the inclemency of the weai-ner ■ the attendance was only moderate. Mr. ] W. L. Hughes was elected, to the chair, :' and proceeded to explain the object of • the meeting and to outline a schame for : properly organising the Society. Mr. R. • Kilpatrick was appointed permanent vice-chairman for the year, and Mr. J. Kilpatrick secretary and treasurer. A comiwittee, consisting of Messrs. E. | Kilpatrick, W. L. Hughes, J. Medley and i W. Putt, was elected to make avrangvi ments for programmes i*. -meetings. It ! was decided to hold meetings weekly on i Monday evenings. The date.of the first meeting was fixed for Monday, July 11. I The tenders are out for the new I creamery to be erected in connection ; with the Moa Farmers' Union Factory, and we are expecting soon to see the work taken in hand. The old dam' will be repaired, and the water-race cleaned out. It is proposed to 'supply power by means of a water-turbine. As the creamery is to be opened n'n time for the coming season it will prove a sjreat 'convenience for suppliers who had pwviously to carry milk three and four miles to Inglewood or Lepperton.
