THROWN PROM A HORSE. By Telegraph.— Press Association. . . Nelson, Yesterday. John McConochie, butcher, of Collingwood, was thrown from his horse yesterday, and died this morning. He was well known locally in Masonic circles, and was a brother of Councillor McConochie, of Nelson. KILLED BY A FALL OF CLAY. Dunedin, Yesterday. 'Daniel McLeod, a single man, aged twenty-two, was killed at Gore's brickworks at Wingatui this morning by a fall lof, clay. - Death was almost instantaneous. A LABORER'S SUICIDE. Christchurch, Last Night. The evidence at the inquest on Walter H. Rowe showed that he was a laborer twenty-four years of age, who had been married about two months. 'No fresh light was thrown on the causes that led him to take his own life. The verdict was that he committed suicide, but that there wa= no evi'once to show his state of mind at tl>" ''me.
