AUCKLAND HOTEL AFFRAY.
INQUEST ON PRICE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. At the inquest on Price, fatally knocked down in the Waitemata Hotel last week, Edwajrd Wren Hurley, laborer, deposed that he was in the hotel at the time of the affray, ad was standing at Price's ,side. Price said to witness, "Are you going to shout V' or words to that effect. Witness replied, "Not for cadging." With that Price said, "If you don't take back those words, I'll hit you." Then Price puncned witness. Witness never struck him at this stage. Tucker came on tne scene. Witness heard Tucker say to Price, "Hit men your size." With that witness stepped out of striking distance; Then he heard a thud, and saw Price ion the floor. When he saw them picking up Price, witness left. He did not know at that time that Price was dead. The inquest was adjourned till 2 p.m. to-morrow.
