PARLIAMENT DAY BY DAY.
NEWS AND NOTES. (By Telegraph. —Special Parliamentary * Correspondent.) Wellington, Last Night. The fact that Mr. Ngata, the Maori member and the junior member of the Cabinet, was put up to reply to Mr. Massey in the Address in Reply debate is regarded by the Oppositioa as a ■breach of Parliamentary cqurtesy. The result was that when Mr. Ngata resumed his seat the members ot the Opposition unanimously remained silent, and another Government member had to continue the debate. The New Zealand Times accuses the Opposition of moving an amendment to the Imprest Supply Bill with a view to\ capturing Mr. Myers' vote. I have authority for saying that there is not .a scintilla of truth in the statement. The Opposition do not want Mr. Myers' vote.
The new Governor continues to create a favorable impression, and everyone who is brought into contact with aim ic impressed with his ability and his personal magnetism.
