A NEW ZEALAND INVENTION
TO SUPERSEDE RUBBER.
By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch., Last Night. Mr. George Metcalf, an Ashburton resident, claims to have discovered an efficient substitute for rubber for bicycle and motor car tyres. The substitute is said to be much mors enduring than rubber, and can be produced at greatly decreased cost. Mr. Metcalf will be leaving for Laidon - in the course of a few weeks to bring the process before the notice of British capitalists. Up till a few months ago Mr. Metcalf resided in New Plymouth, and practised his profession of music teaching.
